Biofuels
Grains Council of Australia supports the development of a sustainable biofuels industry for the following reasons:
- Regional economic development and employment
- Energy security and import replacement
- Creation of alternative domestic demand streams for grain and oilseeds
- Introduction of cleaner burning vehicle and industrial fuels
- Total reduction in greenhouse gas emissions
- Increased carbon sequestration
