GCA Seed Industry Advisory Committee
GCA represents the interests of independent seed growers at a national level in the following areas:
- Research and Development priorities in cereals, oilseeds and pulses.
- Research and Development priorities in pasture seeds.
- Certification of basic seeds via the Australian Seeds Authority Ltd.
- Certification of seeds under OECD, AOSCA and Domestic Schemes.
The GCA Seed Industry Advisory Committee also provides policy advice to the GCA Policy Council on general matters that impact on the seed industry in Australia.
The GCA Seed Industry Advisory Committee works closely with the Australian Seed Federation, the Rural Industries Research and Development Corporation, the Grains Research and Development Corporation and other relevant organisations.
