Due to financial difficulties The Grains Council of Australia went into Administration on the 15th June 2010.

After a period under administration, Grain Producers Australia presented a DOCA to the Administrator to take over the roles and responsibilities of the Grains Council of Australia. This DOCA was executed on the 5th August 2010 and Grain Producers Australia took over the ACN of the company.
